It seems that my twitter page is fine, and twitter's status page says they're fine, but the TWP widget is showing that twitter is down. any info on this?

well, the widget went back up and now it's down again. twitter.com is fine.

I'm having this same issue. Please help. I'm running WP 3.0.1. It works sometimes but most of the times I just get the custom message I told it to display when it can't reach Twitter but my twitter account is fine.

Same here, did anyone figure it out or know why? I've tried the full URL to the twitter page, I've used the @ in the username and then just the username, all three will not work. I'm just getting that twitter is down but it's not.

Same issue here, does anybody have a fix for this? Works intermittently, but not consistently. When it says it's down, Twitter is fine…

Same problem here. Very rarely actually displaying tweets, though it does on occasion so it appears that it's working and not some kind of authentication problem or something. Tried upping the timeout, no success.
Might have to switch to another twitter widget if this one isn't going to be very functional. But I like this one, so hope it can start working again.

Hi all,
I am having the same problem. My Twitter page is up but the WP site/Twitter plugin shows it as temporaily down". Also, I had mis-spelled "temporaily" and changed it but the change does not take. Site is: http://www.dallasmetronorthtbw.org/
Thanks to anyone who has a fix for this issue.
