Hi Aaron.

My links are appearing as plain black text colour instead of the red on the rest of my theme.

I shortened your CSS, what you pasted was too much for users to look through.  If you look, you'll see this:

.widget ul li a{
color: #000000;
}

That basically styles your links that are in widgets (making them black).  Remove that and your links will turn red.
