Whenever I use this plug-in in my sidebar I'd like not to show any links when on a page containing multiple excerpts of posts. I'd like to know if there might be a modification in the script to do this?

You can set it to "Auto Insert Into Only Single Posts and Pages".  However, if you are inserting it manually you'll have to handle the logic yourself.  You probably want a conditional that's something like this (although you may have to modify it for your use):

if (is_singular() && !is_attachment() && !is_home()) {
    //Your PHP
}
