I noticed when I was editing a page and checked the Featured Box, AND left the edit page open, the WP AUTOSAVE feature would UN-check the Featured Box and infact all featured content data in that meta-box gets wiped.

In the file featured-content-showcase.php
around line number 560-561….

  Find – public function handleMetaData($post_id) {

and add this as a new line right under it.

  if ( defined('DOING_AUTOSAVE') && DOING_AUTOSAVE) return;

This seems to work for me.

thank you, i resolved the problem with your issue. But now i can only see a white space at the place of the plugin… do you know how to resolve it?
