Firstly I just want to say how much I love your plugin! It was exactly what I needed for a client's WordPress theme and everything was working fine in the latest version of WordPress. Then we switched it over to his WordPress site which uses WordPress MU to partition the blog into several blogs and everything failed. I tried a fresh install but it wouldn't let me activate the plugin. I kept receiving this error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STATIC, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /nfs/c03/h05/mnt/81849/domains/mediacakenetwork.com/html/wp-content/plugins/efficient-related-posts/efficient-related-posts.php on line 22

Would you happen to know why it works so differently? The versions of WordPress are both the most current. The only real difference is the WordPress MU installation. I appreciate the help!

The problem doesn't have to do with MU (this plugin works on MU).  The MU install must be on different hosting?

The plugin requires PHP 5 and you're running PHP 4. Most hosts offer PHP5 but you probably have to enable it in your control panel, through .htaccess, or by asking them. Here is a link to some instructions to changing to PHP 5 for certain hosts, but if your host isn't there just open a support ticket and ask for PHP5: Switching to PHP5

This error is in a few places on the forum as well as being in the FAQs on the plugin page and on WordPress.org
