Aaron, thanks for this great plugin. I have several feature requests and suggestions.

  1. Widgetize ERP. It would be great to have this plugin widgetized for use in theme sidebars on single post pages. Either include internal logic to hide the widget on pages with multiple posts, or leave it to users to use another plugin to selectively display widgets.
  2. Custom markup. I'd like the ability to fully customize the markup generated by ERP from the frontend interface, similar to the way it's done in the Get Recent Comments plugin.
  3. Show link to ERP settings in Dashboard sidebar. ERP's settings page requires several clicks to reach. It'd be great to have a direct link to its settings page in the sidebar.
  4. Toggle Related Posts in RSS feed. It would be useful to have a checkbox for including/excluding Related Posts from your RSS feed, as YARPP does. I didn't check the default behavior, but since this plugin appends its data to posts, I'm assuming it shows up in the post bodies in feeds.
  5. Remove Xavisys news from Dashboard landing page. We already have the Xavisys news feed in the plugin's settings page. That's where I'd expect to look for news about this product and others from the same author. I know you can hide this, but it's redundant, and confusing to users who don't have experience hiding feeds. (Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but it still downloads the feed even if it's hidden, right?)

Again, thanks for this great plugin. Hope these requests are reasonable and have a good chance of being adopted.

One request will be considered, one is already on the list, two are already done, and one won't happen:

1) I'm not sure it makes all that much sense as a widget, but I'll add it to the list and see what other people think.

2) Custom markup is definitely on the TODO list, I'm just not sure when I'll get the time to get it done (paid work has to come first).

3) You can get to the settings for Efficient Related Posts as quickly as any other settings page.  If the settings box in the sidebar isn't already expanded, you have to click the arrow to expand it.  Then click "Related Posts".

4) There's already a checkbox on the settings page labelled "Related Posts for RSS".  If that's checked the related posts are displayed in RSS and if not then the related posts aren't displayed.  It's that simple.

5) The feed will stay.  The option to hide it in the screen options is sufficient.
